Valentine's Day

My favorite sound of all the things my ears have ever heard, may be strange to some.

Jordan's heartbeat.

Hearts fascinate me.. I mean really, it is a miracle every single time it beats. If it stops we die. It has so much power and it is so amazing. Especially working in the hospital I have been blown away by the things that our hearts can do.

When I hug Jordan, or lay my head on his chest the sound of his heart beating signifies to me that he is here, strong, confident, loyal and consistent. It beats to remind me how lucky I am every single second.

The best part is that I know that once both our hearts stop beating, he and I will be together for eternity. I never knew I was capable of caring for someone so much. He is my best friend and my everything.

Happy Valentines Day to my soul mate.

January - The Longest Month Ever

It was brought to our attention, by our friends the Whytes', that January is the LoNgEsT month ever. When I first heard that, I was a little skeptical. I can now attest that I am 100% sold that January is too long.

One reason that I hope January blows by is - the snow seems to keep falling. Yesterday we had beautiful forty degree weather! The driveway melted off and the roads were completely clear of snow and ice. But today, we woke to 5 inches of snow... Fox didn't even want to go outside, and we usually have to dig him out of a snow bank! All in good time.

So here are some updates for the new year...

Fox, after his haircut. He was very excited to strut his new stuff for the other dogs on the block.

My new preferred method of injecting insulin. Had a visit with the diabetes educator and she hooked me up with this insulin pen for free! I just buy cartridges of insulin to refill it. This makes shooting up in public much less awkward!
We finally got our Highlander back. After two months of shop time, or car is back in business and doing great.
This is what I see when walking out to my car each night after work. It can be so cold, yet so pretty at the same time.
Hopefully January will kick it into gear and we can get on with February!

Veteran's Day

Today I miss my favorite Veteran. I miss playing games with him, his stories, his country pride, his love, his jokes, and when he would wink and smile at me.

I am proud of the things he did and the example he was.

I miss him every single day. But especially today, on the day he deserves to be honored.

And I love him.

Happy Veteran's day Grandpa.

Halloween!!

One of my very favorite holiday's that I have spent with the Anderson's is Halloween! So many cute kids, dressed in cute costumes, Jan's bangin taco soup and lots of fun! We planned some games and some scares and it was a successful night.. Here are some pics of the fun:

Families in Fall are Fun for Fotos

For the past 7 years, I have been taking pictures of J & S's adorable kids. Each year brings new attitude, clothing and evolving smiles. There is one thing I can bank on every year - "you never know what you're going to get". It was lots of fun and all happened so fast.

Here are some pics from the shoot.
I am not quite sure what is running through his mind... Looks like destruction!

He is getting soo big soo fast. Last year this little guy cried at the sight of my camera .

I think he was contemplating how funny the imaginary squirrel was that sat on the front of my camera.
She had been practicing for this shoot. She has some "high fashion" poses.
Too much fun! They're still picking the leaves out of their clothes!

Weekend with Friends

What a fun weekend we had spending time with friends and enjoying the beauty of of Idaho in the fall. Here are some pics to recap the awesomeness.

Abandoned home by the roadside on the way to Victor.

Joelle might have been scared out of her mind. You can see her struggling not to grab onto the sides of the ginormous slide.

Mike & Joelle acting like tourists.

Cute couple, beautiful scenery.
Thanks for the visit guys! We had so much fun and look forward to seeing you again real soon!
