After a delicious shmorgesborg of food, Jena, Bree and I with Whit's help put on a little lip-syncing performance. I think it scared the youngest of the bunch. But we had a good time.
Next we headed upstairs for the reenactment of the Nativity as found in Luke 2. As you can tell from the picture below, one of our shepherds was having an identity crisis. Steph said that Ty had slipped his Batman costume into her bag without her even noticing.
Following the Nativity we sang Christmas carols and waited for Santa. He arrived on cue as we sang Jingle Bells, just as he does every year. Then for a couple of games, and then we said goodnight.
Christmas morning Whit and I woke about 7 and opened our gifts. Whit was stoked about her food processor and I am loving my kindle fire! After gifts, I had to play the organ for church and we had a nice brunch with some of my family. What a wonderful Christmas!
One of my favorite memories of Christmas this year will be the reading from our 24 days of Christmas book each night. Many a nights we shared thoughts and tears as we learned more about our Savior and how to become more like him.
It's crazy to think that Christmas will be sneaking around the corner on us again in no time...
