Today I miss my favorite Veteran. I miss playing games with him, his stories, his country pride, his love, his jokes, and when he would wink and smile at me.
I am proud of the things he did and the example he was.
I miss him every single day. But especially today, on the day he deserves to be honored.
And I love him.

What a sweet tribute to your grandfather. He would have loved seeing his picture on your blog. He loved this picture of you giving him a big kiss on the cheek. Grandma still displays it on her table, one of her favorites too! Thanks for the memory. Love you, Mom
